Joey

guys senior portraits in Anthem Colorado

Guy’s senior portrait sessions always bring back memories from when I photographed three of my own boys for their high school yearbook. None of them where super excited about the portrait session. But, they each had strong ideas about the location, what they’d wear, and what their hair should look like. Michael chose abandoned railroad tracks as his portrait location. Richard’s senior portraits were taken beneath an old wooden bridge, in an industrial area. Dean’s portraits were taken in alleys and parking garages in downtown Denver. Gone are the days of a simple headshot in front of a screen!

Joey’s main request for his senior portrait session was to have some photos taken with his car. A beautiful, metallic red, Chrysler 300. We were also hoping to capture some mountain views. Unfortunately, the smoke from local wildfires was so thick that day we couldn’t see the mountains at all.

Joey’s mom, Teresa (we have the same name, just without the ‘h’) had only one request. She wanted Joey to enjoy the experience. Aww, that has stuck with me every day since. Senior yearbook photos are a big deal in this day and age. Most guys don’t as excited about being photographed as a lot of girls do. But, they ALL want their senior portrait session to be a good experience! Enjoy!
