You don’t have to figure this out on your own.

I’ll guide you through a relaxed, natural family photo experience—from planning your session to choosing the photos you love.

This doesn’t have to feel stressful

You don’t need to know what to do. You don’t need to get everything “just right.”

From the moment you book your session, I’ll talk you through each step so you feel prepared—not overwhelmed.

I’ll offer guidance on things like what to wear, where to go, and what to expect, so nothing feels uncertain or rushed.

During your session, I’ll keep things moving with simple prompts so you’re not left wondering what to do (or where to put your hands).

There’s space for your kids to be themselves.
There’s space for your family to settle in.
You can relax a little. Because when that happens, everything starts to feel easier.

Most families need a few minutes to settle in—and that’s built into the time we spend together. We’ll begin slowly, giving everyone a chance to get comfortable being in front of the camera.

I’ll guide you through the entire session in a way that feels easy and manageable, so you’re never left guessing.

That might look like:

  • Sitting close together and snuggling in.
  • Walking, smiling, and letting your kids move.
  • A few playful moments (the kind that usually get real smiles).
  • Some traditional shots of everyone smiling at the camera.
  • Different groupings: everyone together, just the kids, each parent with the kids.

I’ll give you simple direction when you need it, and let it unfold when things are already working.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.

We’re just creating space for your family to be together. Space that allows us to capture a wider mix of moments—both the ones you expect and the ones that just happen along the way.

★★★★★

Our family photography experience exceeded my expectations. Theresa was able to get our family to have fun together and make the photos feel natural for the whole family. I was worried my kids wouldn’t cooperate but she had lots of tricks and ideas to get them to participate and have fun. We had a great experience. Theresa’s professionalism and preparedness helped us get ready for the session and actually enjoy our time as a family doing photos together.”

Even if it feels a little messy

Things might not go exactly as you pictured. Kids have lots of energy, and sometimes they need a little extra support.

That’s just how it goes with family photos.

If your kids need a break, we take one.
If things feel a little off, we adjust.
If something unexpected happens, we go with it.

Nothing has to be perfect for this to work.

You just have to show up.
