  • A small number of quick groupings

We’ll keep things moving without overcomplicating anything.

I’ll give you direction when you need it, and let moments unfold when they’re already working.

Even in a shorter session, there’s space for connection—it just happens a little more quickly.

Even if it feels a little messy

Most families feel a little unsure going in, and that’s completely normal.

Mini sessions are quick, and yes—there’s a little less wiggle room than a full session.

But that doesn’t mean everything has to fall into place perfectly.

Kids can be unpredictable.
Someone might feel a little awkward at first.
Things might not go exactly how you pictured.
That’s all part of it.

I’ll guide you, keep things moving, and help you settle in as we go so you’re not trying to manage everything on your own.

We’ll make the most of the time we have.

A few details you might be wondering about

Where do mini sessions take place?

Mini sessions are held at a pre-selected outdoor location near Erie, Colorado. You’ll receive the exact location details a few days before your session.

I choose locations that are easy to access and photograph well—so you don’t have to worry about scouting or deciding.

What happens if we run late?

Because sessions are scheduled back-to-back, they begin and end at their assigned time.

If you arrive late, we’ll use the remaining time as best we can—but the session time can’t be extended.

Arriving a few minutes early helps everything feel more relaxed.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

If the weather isn’t working in our favor, I’ll reach out with a plan—whether that means rescheduling to a backup date or adjusting timing.

I keep an eye on the forecast and aim to make the call early whenever possible, so nothing feels rushed or uncertain.

Can extended family join a mini session?

Mini sessions are just for your immediate family. If you’d like to include grandparents or extended family, please book a full session so we have plenty of time to capture everyone together and in smaller groupings.

If you’re unsure about anything else, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help.
