Vikram’s Senior Session on the Family Farm

Vikram

outdooor senior session

This is why I love outdoor senior portrait sessions! There is history in every single one of these photographs. Vikram chose to have his senior portrait session at his grandparents farm. They bought their land back in the 1960’s. They’ve built a home, worked the land, and raised a family there. When grandchildren come to visit they play in the creek that runs through the farm. Each photo is made more meaningful because the memories they’ve shared here over the years.

While much of October was more like winter than fall, we had perfect weather the day of this outdoor senior portrait session. Vikram and I went around the farm, stopping to take portraits in different locations. Turning leaves provided beautiful fall color in the front paddock. An old tree stump became a chair for portraits in front of the old barn. Laughing sibling shots on the back lawn. A fence to lean on in the back paddock. A very well behaved (and photogenic!) horse even got in on the action. But Shelby, the family dog, wasn’t having any of it! When it was time for me to say good bye, she was still dashing around to avoid being photographed. I’m chuckling now just thinking about it.

Vikram, it was a pleasure to meet you! I wish you all the best for your senior year and am sure that you will do great things! Enjoy these, my favorite images from your senior session on your grandparents’ farm.
