The Chang’s Backyard Wedding in Erie, Colorado

Nathan & Inna

Ten years ago. That’s when Nathan and Inna’s love story began. At junior prom. Nathan, at 17, thought Inna was the most beautiful girl he had ever met. And Inna, at 16, thought Nathan was cute, funny, and intelligent. They have grown and shared many moments over the last ten years, including four high school proms, high school and college graduations, career opportunities, moving across the country, and adopting two cute little kittens. Plus, years and years of gaming together. How delightful that they chose the anniversary of their first prom as the date for their intimate backyard wedding!

120 years of longevity weathering the ups and downs of life

Nathan and Inna have strong role models when it comes to commitment. Nathan’s grandparents, John and Dianne, who were the ceremony officiants, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year! Inna’s parents have celebrated 29 years of marriage and Nathan’s parents have celebrated 31. All together, that’s 120 years of longevity!

John and Dianne, like Nathan and Inna, started dating in high school. Through firm resolve, a keen sense of humor, and an appreciation of their life partner’s strengths, John and Dianne have weathered the ups and downs of life. They have grown together and learned from experience that life goes on regardless of the bumps and stumbles. They have learned to accept and love each other, faults and all. By sticking together over the years, they believe they have become better versions of themselves.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Chang!

Nathan and Inna, I wish you both many, many years of celebrating and growing together as husband and wife. You both have a zest for life that I find inspiring, hold on to that! And, keep collecting your memories! The corsages, pressed flowers, movie stubs, and photographs decorating your reception were a wonderful way to share your first ten years together. You guys are awesome! I had just as much fun with you at your backyard wedding as I did at your engagement session! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Chang! xo, Theresa
