The Portillo’s In-Home Newborn Session

The Portillo Family

In home newborn session

I first met the Portillo family to capture memories of the gorgeous mama-to-be, her bump, and their family of three during a mini session. (Click here to see some of my favorite moments from their maternity session.) It was clear that they were looking forward to welcoming their new bundle of joy into their home. And they didn’t even have to wait that long. Baby Elias decided to arrive a few weeks early! I was so excited to meet the little guy at their in-home newborn session.

The Secret Sauce

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited into their home for a newborn session. To spend time getting to know this family and capture these fleeting and precious memories of life with a new baby. My heart smiled to see how tenderly they care for their new son and love on his big sister. To see their wonder and awe. That look that says you’re perfect and I love you.

Congratulation, Allie and Juan, you have a beautiful family! As you first celebrated your son’s birth in hours, then days and then weeks, I hope you continue to find joy in the little things. Soon those weeks turn into months, and the months into years. The phrase ‘time flies’ is such a cliché but, as the mother of three adult sons, I can tell you that it’s so true. Remember to take care of yourselves, especially during the busy seasons of life, so that you can give to those you love from a full cup. You guys are awesome, and I hope to see you all again soon! Here are some of my favorite moments from your in-home newborn session. Enjoy! xo, Theresa
