The Rohloffs & Family
True or false? Only mothers book a family session. Up until recently, I would have agreed with that statement. But then I received an inquiry for an extended family photo session from Robert. And the biggest surprise of all? Robert is a grandfather! He and his wife, Phyllis, were planning a trip to Colorado to celebrate Phyliss’ 70th birthday with their daughter and her family, in February. To commemorate the occasion, he wanted a photo of his wife, daughter, and granddaughter together.
If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute
Now, if you are at all familiar with Colorado weather, you know that one day can vary greatly from the next. Winter storms are followed by glorious, sunny days and then, overnight, temperatures can plummet to below freezing for days on end. Planning an outdoor session for the middle of February can go either way and can cause some worry. But aside from having to avoid mud caused by melting snow, we had perfect conditions for their outdoor extended family photo session.
Robert, it was a pleasure to meet you and spend time with your beautiful family! It’s clear that your family is important to you and that you love them dearly. You’ve inspired me to break the mold and find an equally hip name for when I become a grandparent.
Last, but certainly not least, a very happy 70th birthday to you, Phyllis! What a blessing is must have been to celebrate this milestone with your loved ones; Robert, Holly, Cody, Elodie, and Gabriel. I hope you enjoy these memories filled with joy and laughter for many years to come! xo, Theresa
